A Romance with Mountains: 18th and 19th Century British Painters in Hindoostan (2015)
Waterfall at Papanasam, Tirunelveli, William & Thomas Daniells
While at the School for International Training’s India: National Identity & the Arts program, I conducted a month-long art-historical study about early British prints of India— the first postcards of India.
Throughout my research, I explored the relationship between Romanticism and Orientalism in early Indian prints of the Himalayas. I conducted archival research at Kolkata’s Asiatic Society, the American Institute of Indian Studies Library, and the Victoria Memorial. I traveled to the Garhwal district in the Himalayan foothills retracing the route of early British painters, like J.B. Fraser and William and Thomas Daniells.

The Stories That Have Made Me, An essay collection (2017)
During my final year of study at the Gallatin School of Individualized Study, I received honors for my senior thesis— The Stories That Have Made Me. These seven essays dig into why stories unmake and remake us, grief, and ghost stories.
My research takes an interdisciplinary approach to the study of stories drawing on Freud to film criticism.
